JOYFUL NOISE

OK, so there will be no awards handed out for this movie.  The plot was predictable.  The premise bizarre.  Think the flamboyant Dolly Parton and the beautiful Queen Latifah hidden away in some backwoods town where their biggest joy is singing in the church choir plus, their offspring having talent that surpasses most American Idol contestants. 

Add some not so great acting and a host of other members of the choir with voices that any other church choir member I've ever heard would listen to and hang their heads in shame and, you have JOYFUL NOISE.  I had read all this and expected as much from the movie so I took a free movie pass, ate some popcorn and went because I am a big fan of both the stars.

I left the movie with a song in my heart, teared up eyes, amazement that there are still some non-animated wholesome movies produced and, a smile.  Definitely worth my time.
