THE VOW

I originally thought this movie was going to be first and foremost a "Chick Flick".  Not that there is anything wrong with that.  I just recently heard that it was based on a true story and it was #1 at the box office last week.  That made it all the more intriguing to me.

So a week after its release I went into a packed theatre with a hand full of men and prepared myself for a good cry.  It just didn't happen.

I was never bored.  I suppose that was because I kept waiting for my heart strings to be pulled.  It just never happened.  The true story was amazing, the screenplay didn't make it that way.  There were lots of things that didn't make sense to me.  The main thing was why would a woman abandon so many people who loved her because of her Father's indiscretions?

Anyway, all the actors did a great job but, Channing Tatum's character was the only one I found likable.  I don't think it was meant to be that way.  Anyway, "The Vow" will enjoy one more weekend of box office success before everyone catches on.
